Autobot is made by Convogenie. This page explains what we collect when you use the Autobot app and this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email privacy@getautobot.app.
What Autobot does with your data
You create bots and give each one a job in plain English. To do that job, a bot reads from and writes to the apps you connect, such as your email, calendar, CRM, chat or accounting tools. It only touches the apps you connect yourself from the Apps screen, and it asks you before it sends, posts, deletes or pays anything.
What we collect
- Your account. Your name and email address, from the Apple or Google account you sign in with. We use a sign-in provider to manage this and never see your password.
- Your bots and chats. The names and jobs you give your bots, the messages you and your bots exchange, and the results of scheduled routines. These live on a private cloud computer that only your bots use.
- App connections. When you connect an app, the connection is made through a managed connection service that stores the access token. We store which apps are connected and their status, not the token itself.
- Data from connected apps. When a bot does its job, it reads the data it needs, such as the emails in your inbox or the invoices in your accounting tool, on your private cloud computer. We do not copy this data into our own systems beyond what appears in your chat.
- Payment. Your subscription is handled by a payment processor. We store whether your subscription is active. We never see your card number.
- Technical logs. Error reports and basic request logs, kept for a limited time to keep the service working.
Google user data
If you connect a Google product such as Gmail, Google Calendar or Google Sheets, Autobot's use of that data is limited to the job you gave your bot. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not let people read it except with your permission or as needed for security or to comply with the law. Autobot's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of providers to run Autobot: a sign-in provider, a managed app-connection service, cloud computing providers that host your private computer and our servers, AI model providers that power the bots, a payment processor, and a content delivery network for this website. Each processes data only to provide its part of the service.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't use your data or your connected apps' data to train AI models.
- We don't show ads.
How long we keep it
Your bots, chats and connections stay as long as your account exists. When you delete a bot, its chat and routines go with it. When you delete your account, we delete your private cloud computer, your app connections and your account records. Backups and logs age out within a limited period after that.
Your choices
- Disconnect any app at any time from the Apps screen.
- Pause or delete any bot from its bot sheet.
- Delete your account from the Account screen, or email us and we will do it.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by email.
Children
Autobot is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
